Mornings gone
Echoes of dawn
Shaking your soul
All but done
The rain with the flood
With nowhere to go

The sunshine after the rain
New hope comes in golden rays
Drying the wet of the flow
For new life may grow

Sorry, another no comment piece... why? Because I am moving tomorrow to my dorm in Halifax~! So I won't be around for a while... Not quite sure when I'll be back. So this is my last CG before I leave for school~ I hope you guys understand. =(

This is not only dedicated to the victims of Hurricane Katrina, but also the victims of the Tsunami in Asia. I've been thinking throughout this whole year we've had so many disasters that involved water. First the tsunami, the heavy rainfalls that flooded cities and caused mudslides, and now New orleans. Seems like a water god outthere is pissed as hell this year. :\

So of course, I created a piece that involved primarily the essence of the sun~ May the sun dry up all that water soon...

Details: Close up and Variations of picture <== Please look~

Painted in Painter IX and Photoshop 6.0.
Original size 3000 x 4500. <== Had to work on 2 separate files. ^^;

EDIT: Holy CRAP. O_o I've been gone for more than a week and wow. @_@ I just got the internet... I went through so much crap to finally get it.. I will blog soon. Thank you (nicest DA staff ever too btw, not just saying that cuz of this) for my DD and PoD. =O!!! Enabling comments~ ^^

I don't think words can adequately describe the beauty of this piece.
First things first, though...the lighting and colors in this are simply gorgeous, as is that flower-edged kimono. Plus, I see many deviants have already commented on those fantastic clouds! They really are stunning.
Secondly, though... your motivation for this work is equally deserving of praise.
It's hard to imagine the terrible events that have befallen New Orleans and Asia, let alone to imagine what it must have been like to actually live through them. This piece really speaks comfort and consolation to those battered souls.

Gorgeous work. I hope you continue to have success in your future.
